Appeal to the UNHCR

Appeal to the UNHCRUnder the 1951 Refugee Convention, refugee representatives in “Sudan” have a conscientious and legal obligation to stop these crimes against “innocent Eritrean refugees”, and bring those who commit these atrocities to justice and protect the lives of the refugees in Sudan.

Eritrean refugees in “Sudan” are being kidnapped and arrested by the Sudanese police and are screaming out for help. but why did the UNHCR representatives in Sudan cover their eyes? Where are the human rights defenders? it’s unfair?

As we all know, the Sudanese regime does not respect its “citizens” and it cannot be expected to respect the Eritrean refugees. But all of the atrocities and tortures brutally perpetrated against refugees by the chaotic Sudanese regime “are truly shameful. UNHCR must take responsibility for this.”

Merhawi Gebre Araya
This young man is still missing after being abducted from his workplace by security forces in Khartoum on 01/28/2023. And this young man is not the only one. Because many Eritrean refugees were kidnapped in Khartoum from the streets of Khartoum and taken to “unknown places”. Some of the refugees were found dead.

The world is big for most creations on this planet but limited to Eritreans. Wherever we go, we experience torture, hate, pain, racism, discrimination, emargnilization, exclusion, and humiliation. This hypocritical world makes us as guilty as criminals. But the truth is that the respect you lose in your country, you can’t get it in other countries.

The truth is that our dignity should have been in “our country” but thanks to the dictatorial regime in “our country oppressed us as the world is oppressing us now, are we Eritreans part of this international community or not?
We have doubts.

PAULOS YACOB.
